Sigma Scholarship Awards PDF Print E-mail

Truly, out of the money raised with the sweat of the loyal Sigmites, University Full and relief Scholarship have been awarded to deserving indigent undergraduate students to enable them complete their studies (Remember that most Sigmites are usually not on any form of scholarship). Between 1986 and 1989, 23 students benefitted from such awards at the university of Ibadan, with 17 of the students benefitting in 1989 alone and the presentation was done by the then Vice chancellor.

Post-graduate Scholarships have also been awarded. In 1976, Chief Michael Ibru on being admitted to the Sigma Roll of Honor as an Honorary Sigmite offered to finance a Sigmite post-graduate Scholarship for work leading to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the faculty of Agriculture at the University of Ibadan. The award was made in November, 1977 to a deserving student and he has since completed his PhD program in 1980.
