The Sigma admission interview grants the only entry opportunity into Sigma Club. To be eligible certain conditions have to be met by the applicant and the experience during this exercise is always memorable throughout the applicant’s life. Due to the standard established in 1950 by the founding fathers of Sigma Club discipline, integrity and loyalty remain the ultimate qualification criteria for and candidate.

      At the beginning of each academic year, Sigma Club notify and request for membership application through hand written letter in a defined format. On a later scheduled date, oral interview is being conducted with reference to the earlier verification. This process defines the uniqueness and the prestigious standard of the club in the whole of West Africa. Only noble man with pure heart eventually get admitted into the club and erroneously admitted NON-SIGMA material with questionable characters or principles usually resign or end up being screened from the club. The induction of the admitted applicants is done to conclude the admission process and their membership is indeed absolute from their acceptance especially after the briefings.

      Sigma Club remains the mint of talents and brains with large and pure heart creating opportunity for self development through community effort and group interest. Therefore Sigma Club groom whole men through harmonious cooperative dedication with emphases on the collective interest in achieving efficiency.

      Notably, few individuals exhibit Sigma-like characteristics but very few are qualified to be Sigmites. For Sigma materials (persons) that are usually none- Uites but have proved themselves worthy in the society we confer the HONORARY SIGMITE’S AWARD on them to commend their loyalty and contribution to humanity. Just with the permission of the Sigma Chief, a worthy candidate is invited to this special Sigma Club’s occasion called Guest luncheon. There the candidate is being admitted into the club and the event is usually marked with sumptuous menu, oxonian speeches and fortified life band such as the Military or Police band as a tradition.

      Since 1950, very few individuals have being admitted into the Honorary Sigmites Roll of Honour that is less than 50

Sigma Club’s uncompromising standard remains untainted and is often used by loyal Sigmites within and outside the club such that the chain and connection remain unbroken. As such we all stand for all that is pure and set the pace for a proactive community.

 Financial meeting

        This is only meant for the Sigmites to review and evaluate all Sigma activities during the Sigma year in that current academic year. These include the finances, discipline, charity and philanthropic activities out of others. Internal and external auditing is one of the focuses of this meeting among other things and ultimately all Sigma activities and the experiences helps Sigmites in developing and prepares them for greater challenges. It is the last Sigma Function for each academic session with a long list of activities as the ground finale for that academic session.

            This is the Sigma session where graduating loyal Sigmites are usually being sent forth from the academic environment into the society. It is commemorated with grand style celebration marked with cocktail, dinner and dance. This represents the final unwinding from intense brain tasking and the humanitarian tutelage in Sigma Club after the undergraduate days in the University of Ibadan. The fundamental life requirements acquired in the club henceforth equip and guide each member through life’s challenges and in delivering selflessly in various capacities. However each member’s loyalty is still committed to Sigma Club and Sigma Chief.

Cocktail and Barbeque nite

            This is one of the Sigma functions meant for the relaxation and unwinding of loyalist and the invited pilgrims during the Sigma Year. It is also the function where newly admitted Sigmites are being inducted and non-sigmites and it is one of the social functions of the club on campus. The cocktail or barbeque nite is known for its glamour and the experience lingers long enough on the mind of attendees. This is due to the peculiar organizational structure of the occasion the delicacies and the captivating sensual attractive environment.

However the interaction and the overall effect during and after the event simply refresh and re-establish the reality of potential capacity of a sound mind and its impact in influencing and improving life. This therefore brings Sigmites to a more cordial and intimate interface for brotherhood and to get along more perfectly.
